Stars, Satellites and Black Holes

I believe nothing happens without a reason. It isn't a thought that has been written in stone anywhere - it's just my experience. Things happen and then something else falls into place, followed by something more until you have a complete picture. Kind of like some sort of celestial puzzle.

I figured out this whole Wicca thing was basically, Thelema for Dummies, a long time ago but as I didn't have anything to replace it? I simply adapted what I had learned through Wicca to include some of the roots of the thing.

Gardner went to Crowley; he was influenced enough to lay out money for a 4th. You have to figure that this influence will be apparent in Gardnerian belief. And Crowley? He was influenced by the Golden Dawn, by the O.T.O. - by his own experiences - real or drug induced. Then who influenced the Golden Dawn? It's a never ending search for understanding or at least a little light in the ever widening fog.

I absolutely love the whole Every Man and Woman is a Star thing; it holds so much meaning for 7 little words. I imagine it means different things to different people but their interpretation is of no interest to me.

We all have our own will, our own knowledge to assimilate. Some people will be happy to be little satellites circling the most favourable star of the moment and others will be stars unto themselves and still others will fall into black holes created by their own stupidity.

It isn't up to you, to me or to anyone else to help someone find their way. We can't. We can point, I suppose but even then, aren't we simply pointing a direction that was relevant to our own experience. It may be a complete wrong direction for someone else.

Man, doesn't all this sound obscure? It isn't though - it is relatively easy and maybe that's why we all miss it. We don't have enough confidence in ourselves to structure our own lives. We have this nasty tendency to look to someone else for instruction.

That method seems to only set the individual back in motion as opposed to forward. It kills me, all this running around - looking for the right candle colour, the perfect incense or oil - focusing on inanities. Whether or not a candle is purple or chartreuse is not going to matter one little iota.

We all have a choice to make; be one of the herd and that includes this whole Pagan community stuff or be a star. A leader. You don't need a flock behind you - a leader beyond the standard definition. You need only lead yourself and walk away from the rest of the sheep.

Be that star and don't look for anyone to show you how. Do it yourself.
